Post your Start Screen!

I use it to be cool and freak people out. :p I say it's a magical vortex into another world. Well when they're drunk they'll believe anything about Windows 8. I told them Captain Janeway was using it light years ahead of us :p

I avoided the Start Screen like the proverbial plague on the DP and CP, and disliked it intensely. Once I got the Enterprise RTM, I started to actually use it and have a bit of a play around. Then had to do it all again when I bought the retail version. :-(

I now have it nicely customised, and set up so that it works for me.

There are several screenshots in this thread.....

Yeah! Same boat here, from Windows 8 DP, CP, RP, RTM leak, and official RTM, Windows 8 has been nothing more but a pretty great journey of learning new things and taking advantage of new things that work real well.

I don't know CR. I've tried lots of tiles, no tiles, huge tiles (using ease of access enlargement), massive tiles (using magnifier) a few tiles, live tiles with image shuffling, custom tiles, invisible tiles, tiles with customized text or pics, but ultimately, for me, a start screen that requires sideways movement (on a regular basis) can get to be annoying for me.

It just seems easier to me to press a key and select something listed. (from the apps area)
Websites, metro apps, games, office and photo programs can all be listed with 1 hot key.

And, from my perspective, large quantities of tiles do not agree with my need for neatness.

I prefer everything on Start now because of a glitch this one time on the CP of Window 8 in a To Go drive. I like it that way, it is a literal Start launcher for EVERYTHING. The side scrolling doesn't bother me in the slightest, I have a Touch Mouse and currently playing with a touch AIO PC with my hard drive in it. It's splendid.

I want to try and figure out how to get the picture in-line with the tiles.See how it sits lower on the screen,so it just looks uneven.
