My AMD R9 280 graphics card is generating hundreds of informational events in the log ACEEvent.
This seems to be an AMD driver problem going back several years. How can I disable logging of these events? I looked at the properties box for ACEEvent but it is greyed out and I can't change it.
I discovered these events relate to AMD's Catalyst Control Manager (CCM). I've now disabled CCM from the start-up tab in Task Manager so it doesn't load at start-up and I now have zero reported events in ACCEventLog.
I don't miss CCM since I never fiddle with the graphics settings and it can soon be started by a right click on the desktop if needed.
AMD.. i bought a lot of stock them since they are tanked right now.. haha..
but the funny thing is.. why has AMD always had driver problems.. always.. I mean Nvidia of course has some issues.. but nothing like AMD..
CPU proglems.. video problems.. on every forum there is, AMD has problems with drivers.. artifacts.. this and that..
once I went Intel and Nvidia I've never seen a problem yet.. (of course they are out there..but not on my machine..)
Also I believe AMD makes the fastest Video card too.. yet all the driver problems and game forums that have people complaining about something with Catalist program or what not..
meanwhile did you know AMD is the chip maker for all the crazy game systems like X-box.. ha.
