    Win Updates runs for hours, finds nothing.

    Bill, I tried the link by using Slavic and it popped “not compatible with your system". Thank you for pointing out the x86 vs x64 difference. BINGO!!! I used your link to x64 and did as suggested through Slavic. The result was 165 essential and 13 elective updates.

    How did you setup your Win 8 install?

    I set mine up on a fresh harddrive with a spanking new Windows 7 installed, so all new everything.
