I used Malwarebytes and CCLeaner to remove this malware from a laptop last weekend...

Malwarebytes is the best! I used it last night to clean a badly infected (unprotected) laptop, running Win 8.1 and it cleaned it up! Now, the laptop has the "Premium" version installed!

I love it and i use it with Malwarebytes to clean PC's that i work on. It has never disappointed me...

Whenever I am getting errors from a drive, I immediately back it up since I assume it could fail at any time.

Replace the hard drive with a SSD. The hard drive is the slowest component and you'll run much faster with an SSD.

I use my SSD for OS and frequently used apps (MS Office, etc) and I load all games and applications on my 7200rpm WD hard drives and everything is fast!
