So about a week ago windows update updated the video driver. Pc restarted and after it goes thru the boot screen the signal drops and thats the end of it. Reinstalled from disk, after you make all your choices and tell it you dont want 10 it starts updating. Reboot, video gone again. Reinstall...

So this machine apparently has an issue where it wont boot to the cdrom in UEFI mode, Secure boot on or off. Doesnt even give the option. I loaded it with 8.1 fine in legacy mode but it wont pull the key with the old tool i use that apparently most of you say dont even use anymore. Any ideas...

Anybody else been seeing this? I keep telling it not to install 10 and it keeps trying to install it instead of regular updates on fresh 8.1 loads. I unselect it and it always says downloading windows 10, checking system requirements, etc etc etc.

I have quite a few spanish 8 and 8.1 ISO's built up and its a mix of single language and regulars. Is there any files I can look at in the ISO's to see which they are? I know 7 had a way but I havent ever messed much with 8 or 8.1. Single language is a stupid key setup and I wonder why...

I can put a bunch of files on the system. When I put the drive back in the pc and turn it on all the files disappear and the free space changes to show those files being gone. Anybody know if microsoft will ever fix this issue? It started when 8 first came out and it still does it. Its a pain...
